Jewellery Size Guide

Not sure which size is right for you? This guide will help you choose the perfect fit for your piercing — confidently and safely.

Understanding Gauge Sizes

Gauge (G) refers to the thickness of the jewellery bar or ring. The lower the gauge number, the thicker the jewellery.

Gauge Diameter Best For
14G 1.6mm Nipple, Navel, Industrial
16G 1.2mm Helix, Tragus, Daith, Rook, Eyebrow
18G 1.0mm Nostril, Helix, Lobe
20G 0.8mm Nostril, Lobe, Septum
22G 0.6mm Nostril (fine/delicate)
Always match the gauge to your original piercing size. Using jewellery that is too thin can cause irritation or the hole to shrink. If unsure, consult your piercer.

Understanding Bar Lengths

Bar length refers to the usable length of the straight post — not including the balls or ends.

Bar Length Best For
6mm Flat/flush fit, healed piercings
8mm Standard fit for most piercings
10mm Slightly longer, good during healing
16mm Navel piercings
25mm Nipple piercings (standard)
30mm+ Industrial bars, longer anatomy

How to Measure Your Bar Length

  1. Remove your current jewellery carefully
  2. Lay the bar flat on a ruler
  3. Measure only the post — from one end to the other, not including the balls/ends
  4. Match that measurement to the table above

Nipple Piercing Size Guide

Since 14G / 25mm is our most popular size for nipple jewellery, here's what you need to know:

  • 14G (1.6mm) is the industry standard gauge for nipple piercings
  • 25mm bar length suits most anatomies for healed piercings
  • If your piercing is freshly done or still healing, your piercer may have used a longer bar (30–32mm) to allow for swelling — you can downsize once fully healed
  • If you're between sizes, go longer — a slightly longer bar is safer than one that's too short

Ring Sizes (for Hoops & Clickers)

Ring size refers to the inner diameter of the hoop.

Inner Diameter Best For
6mm Helix, Tragus, Nostril
8mm Helix, Lobe, Daith
10mm Lobe, Septum, Nipple
12mm Nipple, Navel, Septum
14mm+ Nipple, larger anatomy
